BREAKING: Todd Boehly set to appoint this manager as Chelsea manager in the coming days “See Who”

The Guardian reports that Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment as Chelsea’s next manager is imminent by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

According to the source, Pochettino is the favorite and there is growing optimism that the negotiations will be fruitful.

“After Julian Nagelsmann withdrew from the running at the end of last week, the former Tottenham manager—who has been jobless since leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer—became the front-runner.

“Pochettino has had several fruitful discussions with Chelsea’s owners, and it is believed that soon, the Argentine will officially be named Graham Potter’s permanent replacement. However, it has been emphasized that the agreement is still in limbo and that the club has backup plans in case talks break down.

After a turbulent first season, Chelsea’s controlling co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali are under pressure to make the correct choice. Pochettino would be the third permanent manager to operate under this ownership, and his connections to Spurs are unlikely to prevent him from accepting the position. After dismissing Potter this month, Chelsea appointed Frank Lampard as interim manager.
