“Even Wolves won’t sign you” – Paul Merson slams Jesus’ replacement at Arsenal

“Even Wolves won’t sign you” – Paul Merson slams Jesus’ replacement at Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah has been called out by Arsenal veteran Paul Merson, who claims that not even desperate bottom-of-the-table Wolves will sign him.

With Eddie Nketiah starting in place of Gabriel Jesus up top, Merson predicts that the Gunners will not even finish in the top four, much less win the league.

Naturally, Nketiah will fill in for Gabriel Jesus, who had an injury at the World Cup and will be sidelined for the next three months.

Jesus, who has five goals and six assists this season, has been essential to Mikel Arteta’s team’s success in the Premier League.

The Gunners are expected to struggle when the Premier League resumes on Boxing Day with the 25-year-old Brazil international out.

However, manager Arteta is certain that reserve striker Nketiah can step in for Jesus.

Merson, though, has zero faith in Nketiah’s ability to keep Arsenal’s title hopes alive.

Without Gabriel Jesus, “you still wouldn’t fancy them to win the title,” Merson stated on Daily Star.

“I would be surprised if they made the top four. I simply don’t understand where the goals are coming from.

What Premier League team does Eddie Nketiah join without being awful? For example, Wolves, who are at the bottom of the table, would not go after him despite their dire need for a goal.
