£300,000-a-week Chelsea Star hints at reunion with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel – Never say never

Kai Havertz has refrained from ruling out the possibility of collaborating with Thomas Tuchel once more. The duo achieved glory by securing the Champions League title for Chelsea in 2021, with the forward’s decisive strike defeating Manchester City in Porto.

Havertz, who established himself as Tuchel’s centerpiece at Stamford Bridge and even displaced the colossal summer acquisition of Romelu Lukaku from the squad, remains a vital part of Chelsea’s primary lineup, despite Tuchel being relieved of his duties as the Blues’ head coach in September and subsequently being appointed as the manager of Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants promptly hired the 49-year-old after Julian Nagelsmann’s dismissal, while Tottenham, who were also associated with Tuchel, are interested in conversing with Nagelsmann after confirming Antonio Conte’s departure earlier this week.

Sport Bild revealed Havertz’s candid remarks, stating, “Bayern is generally an enormous club, making it difficult to refuse as a German player. However, my personal objective has always been to play abroad at some point, whether in England or Spain. I had an excellent rapport with him and am extremely grateful for everything. You never know what will happen in football. Anything can occur rapidly. Never say never.”

If Chelsea prevails over Real Madrid and Bayern Munich defeats Manchester City in the quarterfinals next month, Havertz and Tuchel may cross paths in the Champions League semi-finals.
