Romeo Lavia’s cause of injury now revealed. See when he’d be back

Romeo Lavia is one of the two big-name midfielders Chelsea acquired last summer, along with Moises Caicedo.

The 20-year-old was signed from Southampton, following their relegation from the Premier League last term, and was expected to help Chelsea with their rebuild.

It has however not been the debut season that Romeo Lavia would have hoped for after making just one appearance since last August.

The Belgian has been down with an injury that has now been identified to be a muscle tear in his thigh.

The report by DH also claims Lavia will however be ready to play for Chelsea again soon, and the midfielder could be back as early as March.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino recently ruled Lavia out of the Carabao Cup final with Liverpool, which is billed for this weekend, telling reporters at a press conference: “Still he’s not training with the team. Still he’s recovering, so it is impossible for him to be back before the Carabao Cup final. He’s still not on the pitch.”
