£35m Manchester United target wants to join Arsenal to work with Mikel Arteta

Gabri Veiga, a midfielder for Celta Vigo, has been made available to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, according to the Spanish daily AS.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a productive season at Celta, contributing to 4 goals and 9 goals scored in 35 games played in all competitions.

According to AS, Arsenal currently has the upper hand over their European rivals in luring the Spanish young international. They have already been connected with a proposal for him.

Veiga prefers to sign with the London giants and would like to collaborate with manager Mikel Arteta, according to rumours.

Although Arsenal has not yet formally made a bid for the highly regarded teenager, AS thinks that if they do, they will be in a strong position to land the midfielder.

One of Spain’s top emerging midfielders is Veiga. He had a tremendous first season and may now be in line for a larger challenge this summer away from Celta.

Although the Spanish club is reluctant to release him for less than his £35 million release clause, given the high transfer fees for young stars, clubs shouldn’t be put off by this.

In need of extra talent and depth ahead of the 2023–24 season, Arsenal could be prudent to sign Veiga, who can play either the number 8 or number 10 position.

Although Arsenal’s starting lineup is strong right now, there is room for improvement on the bench this summer.

Despite potential competition from Manchester United, Arsenal would be making a tremendous long-term investment in the Spaniard.

The player’s camp has already spoken with Erik ten Hag’s team, and they may compete with Arsenal for his services.

Arsenal benefits significantly from the player’s preference. He might have a hard time declining a transfer because he wants to work with Arteta if they move early for him.
