£76,000 per week Chelsea star tells Graham Potter that his perfect position is No. 8, He needs to be changed
Chelsea manager Graham Potter is trying to establish the ideal system for Chelsea, and midfielder Mason Mount has revealed his best position.
Mount was reported by the club’s media as saying, “I like to think I’m a conventional midfielder even though I can play a number of roles for the squad.
I’ve always claimed that I perform at my best as a No. 8 and have done so since I was a small child. I want to move around the field, aid on defense when needed, and also get forward to score and set up goals for the team. My strengths, in my opinion, lie in that area.
“I can adjust and play higher up or much deeper because I’m versatile, and I’ve played so many positions over the previous several years.
“For me, being able to play multiple positions is essential in this day and age. Even during games, you can play two or three distinct roles, and formations frequently shift.
The manager expects you to play in these many roles, especially at the Premier League level and also at the international level with the upcoming World Cup.
