£80,000 per week Chelsea star is asking for crazy salary to remain a Chelsea player amid interest from numerous clubs
According to ex-Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan, Mason Mount is reportedly making an exorbitant demand for salary to remain at Chelsea Football Club amidst interest from other top-tier clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich.
Mount, a 24-year-old player, has yet to come to a consensus with Chelsea over his contract extension, with sources revealing that he has dismissed offers worth £200,000 every week.
Jordan, in a talkSPORT interview, remarked that Mount’s current predicament with Chelsea, concerning contractual affairs and a likely move elsewhere, is due to highly unrealistic compensation requests.
“I understand that some truly absurd proposals regarding salary have been tabled for him,” he said. “The numbers seem to be in the range of mid-£200,000 or more. While he wishes to stay at Chelsea, his remuneration requests have made that an impractical consideration.”
He continued, “It is similarly preventing him from moving to other football clubs.”
