Alex Ferguson gets new job at Manchester United

Alex Ferguson, a former manager of Manchester United, has been given a new position at the organization.

In 2013, the Scot left his position as the club’s manager, but he has continued to have significant power.

Richard Arnold, the chief executive of the Red Devils, has assembled a think tank with important members of Manchester United and has included Ferguson.

According to Daily Mail, legendary captain Bryan Robson, former CEO David Gill, and current football director John Murtough would work alongside the 80-year-old Ferguson at the club’s research tank.

The five-person team met for the first time on Tuesday at the club’s practice facility.

Although Ferguson and Gill have served as non-executive directors of the club since 2013, their new positions are regarded as having greater influence.

Manager Erik ten Hag is not believed to be directly impacted or influenced by this new think tank.

They will discuss topics including the growth of Carrington and Old Trafford as well as the club’s connection with its supporters.
