Arsenal bid for Rice alternative expected soon – Will need to go much further than €70m

Arsenal is facing difficulties in finalizing a deal for Declan Rice, and as a result, they are seriously considering other options. One player they are now contemplating is Nicolò Barella, primarily because the involvement of new Premier League clubs has made it more challenging to pursue the England international.

According to FC Inter News, Inter Milan is expecting two additional offers for Barella, one of which is anticipated to come from Arsenal, following recent attempts from Newcastle. The source suggests that these Premier League clubs are expected to present “two very important offers” to the Serie A team, and there is also interest from Manchester United.

Reports indicate that both Arsenal and Manchester United have approached Inter and Barella’s agent to signal their intentions for future moves. However, in order to engage Inter in negotiations after allegedly rejecting a €70 million offer from Newcastle, the interested clubs would need to significantly surpass that figure.

The specifics of Arsenal’s potential offer are not yet clear, but it is speculated that if they were willing to offer €100 million for Rice, it is logical to assume that their budget for Barella would be similar, particularly if they have their sights set on the Champions League finalist.

Although no concrete action has been taken at this point, the fact that discussions are being initiated suggests that the proposal from Arsenal must be substantial and enticing.
