Arsenal go four points clear on top of table with 3-1 win over Tottenham

Arsenal overcame Tottenham 3-1 on Saturday to increase its lead over the league’s top team by four points.

The North London Derby marked the first time since 2010 that the Gunners had lost to Spurs at home.

First-half dominance by Mikel Arteta’s team was rewarded when Thomas Partey curled in a beautiful effort from outside the box.

However, Richarlison’s foul inside the box by Gabriel Magalhaes gave the visitors the equalizer just before halftime.

Aaron Ramsdale was beaten by Harry Kane’s attempt after he stepped out.

After the break, Gabriel Jesus capitalized on confusion inside the area to give Arsenal the lead back.

A third goal was added by Granit Xhaka before Emerson Royal was dismissed.

The Gunners lead Tottenham and Manchester City by four points when they take on Manchester United on Sunday.
