Bad news for West Ham as elite 25-year-old reportedly wants to join Man United

The center back for Monaco, Axel Disasi, prefers Manchester United to West Ham United.

Axel Disasi from Monaco is reportedly a target for both Manchester United and West Ham this summer, according to sports journalist Ignazio Genuardi.

David Moyes and Erik ten Hag will both be eager to enhance their respective central defense ranks at the London Stadium and Old Trafford before the start of the upcoming season.

The same man appears to be desired by both managers…

Axel Disasi may decide to join Manchester United rather than West Ham.
According to football writer Ignazio Genuardi, the French central defender would prefer to join Man United over West Ham this summer:

That is obviously bad news for West Ham. If Disasi must pick between the Hammers and Man United this summer, it is rather obvious what will happen.

The Monaco defender would have been a great addition to West Ham, so it’s a genuine shame.

He participated in the World Cup for France in Qatar and displayed excellent performance.

Center-back Disasi is also capable of playing on the right side of the defense.

When making a tackle, the Frenchman is powerful in the air and on the ground, highly quick, and calm when in possession.

In 31 Ligue 1 games for Monaco thus far this season, Disasi has accumulated three goals and three assists. Over those games, he has averaged one tackle, 1.6 interceptions, 3.1 clearances, and 2.6 victories in aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

The 25-year-old defender is more likely to join Man United than West Ham, though.

The international for France is a superb football passer as well. In 31 Ligue 1 games this season for Monaco, he has made an average of 51.3 passes per game with an average completion rate of 83.5% (Who Scored).

Disasi has been referred to as a “elite” talent by The Monaco Tribune. He is a brilliant young prospect with all the qualifications to succeed in the Premier League. The 6 foot 3 inch tall, brick wall built Frenchman shouldn’t have any trouble acclimating to the high level of physicality in English football.

The Monaco defender is just the kind of addition that the Hammers require.

However, it appears that Manchester United has a better chance than West Ham of acquiring Axel Disasi this summer.
