Benfica’s manager strongly condemns Chelsea for their disrespectful pursuit of signing Enzo Fernandez
Benfica head coach, Roger Schmidt, has criticized Chelsea for their efforts to sign Enzo Fernandez, calling their actions “disrespectful.”
Schmidt stated that neither he nor the president of the club want to sell Fernandez and that the player has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave if a certain amount is paid.
However, Schmidt also mentioned that Chelsea has been trying to “get the player on their side” and only wants to pay the clause rather than negotiating with Benfica.
He also revealed that Fernandez has agreed to personal terms with Chelsea and has been absent from training sessions without permission.
Despite this, Schmidt called Fernandez a “very good boy” and expressed his hope that the player will remain with Benfica.
