BREAKING: Tuchel reveals details of how Boehly sacked him at Chelsea
Newly appointed Bayern Munich head coach, Thomas Tuchel, has finally broken his silence on his dismissal from Chelsea last September. The German tactician revealed that he was left “stunned” by the verdict of Todd Boehly, one of the Blues’ co-owners.
Prior to his exit from Stamford Bridge, Tuchel had claimed the prestigious Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup titles. Nonetheless, after being at the helm for a century of games, Boehly opted to part ways with the decorated coach.
Tuchel expressed his shock at the brevity of the meeting that sealed his fate. It only lasted a mere 3-5 minutes, and it took place at the crack of dawn at 8 in the morning. “We were all under the impression that we were making progress and that we had enough time to build something substantial,” he lamented.
Despite his abrupt departure, Tuchel insists that he has moved on and is relishing his new challenge in Bavaria. He also spoke fondly of the relationships he forged with the staff and players during his time in West London.
