Caicedo was acquired by the Seagulls from Independiente del Valle in January 2021, however he was then loaned to Beerschot of Belgium.

Caicedo has established himself as a crucial player for the Brighton team after moving back to the south coast earlier in the summer. He has started each of the club’s six Premier League games so far this year.

Several top teams have expressed interest in Caicedo as a result of his performance, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea all all keeping an eye on his position.

During the summer, Arsenal considered adding a new midfielder but had several offers for Brazilian international Douglas Luiz turned down by Aston Villa.

Despite acquiring Christian Eriksen on a free transfer and Casemiro from Real Madrid, Man United is still eager to expand Erik ten Hag’s alternatives.

Jurgen Klopp has already expressed concern over Liverpool’s underwhelming midfield this season, and the Reds will undoubtedly aim to add reinforcements during the January transfer window.

Prior to Graham Potter’s appointment, Chelsea had expressed interest in Caicedo, but those ties now appear to be growing in light of the former Brighton manager’s relocation to Stamford Bridge.

Despite selling Yves Bissouma to Tottenham and Marc Cucurella to Chelsea, Brighton is unwilling to lose Caicedo and is presently preparing to sit down with the midfielder to discuss a new contract.

According to The Daily Mirror, Brighton is prepared to reward Caicedo with a new deal that will bring his pay closer to that of their regulars in the first squad.

During his final days at Brighton, Potter was asked about Caicedo’s potential suitors. He responded, “In football, you never know, but we are fairly calm and confident [of keeping him] .”

“The chairman would definitely give you his boots for that – maybe!” £100m? The can attempt. Given how well he is playing, I am not surprised that people are staring at him.

When you do research on him, you quickly learn that he is a fantastic young man who plays in the Premier League and possesses all the skills necessary to compete at the greatest level.

Meanwhile, Caicedo claims he is “quite happy” where he is at Brighton and isn’t paying heed to the transfer rumors.

He stated earlier in the month, “I’m extremely happy here at Brighton.” I’m only thinking about Brighton right now.

“I am currently a member of this club, and I will do anything for this club and to continue performing well here.”
