Conor Gallagher of Chelsea received accolades from Jason Cundy for his game-winning performance earlier today at Crystal Palace.

Odsonne Edouard gave the visitors a 1-0 lead, but Chelsea rallied to defeat Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal on Saturday, an extremely well-executed finish on the swivel inside the area, should give him a great deal of confidence.

The game was headed for a draw, but the Blues spectacularly secured all three points in the Premier League.

Against Palace, the team he excelled for while on loan last season, Gallagher came off the substitute and scored an incredible winning goal late in the game. A spectacular method for the 22-year-old to score his first senior Chelsea goal was to angle his effort from outside the area into the top corner.

In his post-game interview, Gallagher stated that he intends to start more games for the Blues. He will make it tough for Chelsea manager Graham Potter to leave him out of the starting lineup if he continues to exert energy and quality from the bench.

Gallagher will undoubtedly play more forward in a Potter team than he did under Thomas Tuchel, which should bring out the best in him.
