Boehly haven’t given up on agreeing deal with £80m star at Stamford Bridge

Given that his contract is about to expire, the 24-year-old is reportedly a top target for Liverpool, according to the dependable Fabrizio Romano.

Although Mount has also been linked to a move to Newcastle United, a move to St. James’ Park now seems incredibly unlikely.

The MailOnline reports that the Magpies lost interest after learning that the Englishman will cost £80 million this summer.

According to Jacobs, Mount might yet decide to stay at Chelsea if he signs a brief contract with the team.

The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: “We’ll have to wait and watch now that Chelsea might find a halfway house. They might figure out how to postpone now in order to buy themselves more time later.

“They might wind up making a deal with Mount. Thus, the situation is as it is because Chelsea haven’t given up and Mount haven’t made a decision.

It is contingent upon how their new manager views Mount. They may already have his replacement if they see him as an offensive midfielder.

The best spot for Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea is immediately behind the striker.

Ralf Rangnick, a former manager of both Manchester United and RB Leipzig, described the Frenchman to ZDF (via BILD) last month as “one of the best attacking midfielders currently available.”

Joo Félix, a current Chelsea loanee from Atletico Madrid, is another player. He is an attacker who is accustomed to playing next to a center-forward, just like Nkunku. He’s an alternative to Mount if the Blues opt to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

However, Chelsea might need to go out and acquire a different player if Graham Potter’s eventual replacement wanted to employ the England international in midfield.
