Chelsea in the front row for £215,000 per week striker after making official offer
An intriguing report about Chelsea’s pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus can be seen in this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport.
They assert that even if there is still much work to be done, the Blues are “in the front row” of the line to sign the forward.
It sounds like things have moved past the interest-piqued stage, which is encouraging. We now know that Chelsea is interested in getting him, he wants to move, and Juventus wants to get rid of him. The focus should not shift to this second round of back and forth negotiations where a price is set; those are the most crucial factors.
The Blues have reportedly listed a long list of players they want off their roster and would be open to trading for the individual. These are the same names that are mentioned in theoretical deals everywhere, including Ruben Loftus, Trevoh Chalobah, and Christian Pulisic.and so forth.
Juventus, who would obviously prefer a cash deal, is “studying” the offer. However, given that there doesn’t appear to be much outside interest in Vlahovic, Chelsea may be able to close this deal on their terms.
In reality, both parties can feel like they got a wonderful deal if we send some unwanted players to Juventus in exchange for a number 9 who consistently scores for them. However, despite recent advancements, more work remains.
