Chelsea manager Graham Potter is not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo in January
According to rumors, Chelsea manager Graham Potter is ‘unenthused’ about the possibility of acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

After Ronaldo, 37, attacked Erik ten Hag and the club’s management in an interview with Piers Morgan, it appears like his second term at Old Trafford is done.

Ten Hag is not someone I respect since he doesn’t respect me, Ronaldo said in reference to him.

I won’t ever have respect for you if you don’t have respect for me.

Ronaldo’s contract, which has seven months left to run and is paid more than £500,000 a week, is currently being looked at by United as a possibility.

When Ronaldo was pushing to leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly looked into the possibilities of signing him.

However, Chelsea’s then-manager Thomas Tuchel, who was fired in September, resisted Boehly’s approaches.

Tuchel reportedly expressed serious worries to Boehly about Ronaldo’s presence disturbing the locker room.

MailOnline claims that Boehly would rekindle his interest in Ronaldo and have additional negotiations with Jorge Mendes regarding a potential transaction.

However, Potter is reportedly just as “unexcited” as Tuchel about the idea of including Ronaldo on his Chelsea team.

Ronaldo was offered to the German champions in the summer, but they declined the deal.

I think Cristiano Ronaldo is a terrific player, but every club has a philosophy, and I’m not sure if signing him now would send the appropriate message to Bayern and the Bundesliga. Oliver Kahn, CEO of Bayern, remarked that such a move “does not necessarily match with our ideas.”
