Chelsea now a viable option for PSG superstar, as Boehly plans to offload £80m man in shock trade-off

Chelsea is one of the “most likely” teams to recruit Neymar, a Paris Saint-Germain forward who is reportedly aiming to leave the French club this summer.

The Blues, Newcastle, and Manchester United have all been mentioned as potential destinations for the spectacular transfer of the Brazil international. They haven’t officially approached them yet, though.

Without a doubt, Neymar would fit Todd Boehly’s transfer strategy of investing in great players. It will be interesting to watch if they pursue him.

The former Barcelona player is reportedly ‘willing’ to quit PSG this summer, according to Teamtalk. This is the result of the tens of thousands of their purported “ultras” who on Thursday demonstrated in front of his house while yelling, “Neymar, get out.”

Following such protests, Neymar and Lionel Messi are rumored to be considering leaving the Parc des Princes.

According to rumors from Brazil, Neymar is now reportedly attracting interest from Newcastle, Chelsea, and Manchester United. Chelsea and Manchester United are the favorites to sign him because the Magpies have no interest in moving.

It’s expected that Joao Felix will leave Chelsea.
Neymar might be able to play now that it looks like Chelsea will be missing one of their key attackers for the upcoming campaign.

Atletico Madrid is “not persuaded” Chelsea will make a permanent signing of Joao Felix this summer, according to a report from the Spanish daily AS.

The international player from Portugal inked a pricey loan agreement with the Blues in January. Felix is ‘happy’ right now at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea is likely to reject him.

Felix has, overall, failed to make a meaningful impact on London’s season, which has been disappointing. He has only been able to score three goals in 13 Premier League appearances thus far.

Felix is said to think that he “didn’t go to Chelsea for this,” although he is aware that things might change with a new management.

Atletico is willing to sell the attacker for £80 million this summer. But, as was already said, the Spanish club believes that Chelsea won’t cough up that amount.

If Felix moves out, Neymar might take over.
As was already mentioned, Chelsea may be able to recruit a new attacking player for the upcoming season as a result of Felix’s absence.

Given this, even though rumors of him joining the Premier League are still in the early stages, it would be a stunning move on the part of Chelsea to sign Neymar.

Despite the turmoil that has surrounded him, Neymar has scored 13 goals and created 11 assists in 20 Ligue 1 outings this season. He now scores an incredible 1.2 goals per game on average.

In some respects, Neymar might be precisely what Chelsea needs to take back the top spot in the Premier League. As a result, it will be interesting to observe how this story develops.
