Chelsea planned to sell £145,000 a week player after signing Mudryk in January
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer specialist, claims that Chelsea had plans to offload Christian Pulisic in January after bringing in Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Blues were prepared to trade Pulisic in January if a bid of roughly £40 million was made for his move, but a knee injury put a stop to that idea.
On House of Champions on CBS Sports, Romano said, “He has a shot to travel [this summer] . They need someone to pay down $35–40 million for Pulisic; they are not taking loan offers.
“Before the accident in January, they were ready to fire him. Mudryk was to enter and Pulisic to leave.
