Chelsea plotting sensational move for £225,000 per week Manchester United star
According to rumours, Chelsea is preparing a spectacular bid for Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford, who is troubled by Cristiano Ronaldo.
In England’s 6-2 thrashing of Iran, Rashford scored an outstanding goal to help Gareth Southgate’s team get off to a great World Cup start.
Rashford has excelled within his club as well. After underwhelming last season, the Manchester United forward has been in rebounding form under new manager Erik ten Hag.
The 25-year-old has been connected to Chelsea, though. Graham Potter’s London team has struggled, and they are currently occupying eighth position in the Premier League.

Rashford’s contract expires in 2023, so he might be available for free next summer. Although Daily Mail claims there is a clause in the player’s contract that allows for a one-year extension, the England player is reportedly uneasy at Manchester United due to Ronaldo, a free agent attacker.
On his Substack, journalist Simon Phillips stated: “On the strength of Thomas Tuchel’s recommendation, Chelsea considered Rashford as an option in the summer.
Even after Tuchel left, according to what I’ve been informed, Chelsea is still monitoring the situation.
In the summer of 2021, Ronaldo moved to Manchester United and made an immediate impact for the Old Trafford team. However, recent months have been difficult for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
This season, Rashford has received a lot of praise from Ten Hag.
