Chelsea ready to sell £76,000 per week player who was key under Thomas Tuchel

According to The Athletic, if Mason Mount is unable to reach a new contract agreement with the club this summer, Chelsea will attempt to trade him.

This summer, the 24-year-old offensive midfielder will begin the last year of his Chelsea contract; new terms have not yet been reached.

While the club wants him to sign a minimum of a six-year deal, much as Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah, Mount is apparently unwilling to accept Chelsea’s current offer.

In order to focus on strengthening its performance in the Premier League and Champions League, Chelsea has put off contract discussions with Mount until the completion of the current campaign.

As the England international will only have one year remaining on his present contract and the owners will not tolerate losing him for free the next year if there is no agreement in the summer, Chelsea will attempt to move him.

Juventus and the Italian powerhouses Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City are all interested in signing Mount this summer.
