Chelsea reject offer for £170,000 per week star
As per reports from the Telegraph via Metro, Chelsea has rejected a proposal from Galatasaray, a Turkish club, for the 34-year-old forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang surprised many when he joined Stamford Bridge from Barcelona on the final day of the previous summer transfer window for a fee of €12 million (£10.3 million).
The reason behind Chelsea’s refusal of Galatasaray’s offer for Aubameyang is that the Turkish club intended to acquire the striker as a free agent. Chelsea aims to recoup at least a portion of the money they spent on acquiring him.
Apart from Galatasaray, there is also interest in Aubameyang from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
