According to a source, Chelsea may now revive their interest in acquiring Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo during the January transfer window.

Champions League

Over the summer, there was uncertainty around the 37-year-position old’s at Old Trafford. He missed the most of the team’s preseason games, which suggested that he was trying to get a transfer elsewhere. According to reports, the absence of Champions League action led to the decision to look for new job.

Despite wanting to go, the captain of Portugal remained at the Theater of Dreams. Due to Erik ten Hag, the former Real Madrid player will miss the majority of the upcoming season.

He has started one game and served as a substitute in five Premier League contests. For the 2022–2023 season, Ronaldo has participated in seven games across all competitions without recording a goal.

The legend was referenced during the summer, and it was said that Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly was anxious to sign him as a headline player. The plan was ultimately defeated by Thomas Tuchel, the Blues manager at the time, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was brought in its stead.

Graham Potter has recently taken over as manager of Stamford Bridge after the German was dismissed. Fichajes claims that the former Brighton manager will take a different attitude than his predecessor and make a test run for the position in January.
