Chelsea will sign £100million star before the pre-season tour of the USA

As per transfer expert Ben Jacobs, Chelsea is optimistic about securing the services of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion before their pre-season tour in the USA.

The Telegraph reports that Chelsea might have to pay over £100 million for Caicedo, as Brighton considers him to be of similar value to Declan Rice, who is close to joining Arsenal from West Ham United.

To strike a deal, Chelsea may need Brighton to lower their demands for the central midfielder. The Blues are reportedly hoping to reach an agreement around £80 million.

According to Jacobs, there is an expectation that this transfer will happen since Chelsea desires to have Caicedo in their squad before the US tour. However, they are also cautious because there is always a possibility of another bidder entering the race. Many clubs are actively seeking midfielders of Caicedo’s caliber.

At present, Chelsea has faced limited competition, and they would prefer to avoid any complications. It is evident that if another suitor emerges, the price for Caicedo will only increase further.
