“Definitely, we want him” – PSG confirms move for Rashford

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, has confirmed the club’s intention to bring Marcus Rashford aboard in January.

He claimed that the English player is wanted by the French champs, who will make an effort to sign him for nothing in January.

The 25-year-old has been admired by PSG for a while, and throughout the summer, negotiations to sign him were held with the player’s representation.

Rashford had a fantastic season in 2021–22, scoring eight goals and regaining his spot in the England team. He also scored three goals at the World Cup in Qatar.

Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports that Rashford is “yet another guy who is absolutely outstanding and for free, to have Rashford for free, to have him for free, every club would race after him, sure,” confirming PSG’s prior attempts to sign the United star.

There is no getting around the fact that we had discussed our desire before, but the timing was not ideal for either party.

Rashford would like to be included in Gareth Southgate’s starting lineup when the Three Lions take on the defending champions France in the Qatar 2022 World Cup quarterfinals on Friday.

The 25-year-old youth squad product’s current form is one the Red Devils would like to see continue beyond the World.

With players like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr., and Lionel Messi, PSG has one of the most potent attacks in Europe.
