Chelsea are apparently still willing to splurge the cash and add new players in January, despite having already spent £140 million on new players this month.

On Sunday, the Blues revealed that Mykhailo Mudryk had been acquired from Shakhtar Donetsk. In January alone, Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix, David Datro Fofana, and Andrey Santos joined the group.

Moises Caicedo and Leandro Trossard, two players for Brighton, are reportedly being considered by Chelsea, according to Daily Mail.

The Seagulls reportedly have the option to extend Trossard’s contract by another year once the current one expires at the end of the current campaign.

Caicedo won’t be cheap because he has three years left on his current deal, but Chelsea have identified him as a potential successor for N’Golo Kante, who has been out with a long-term injury.

Trossard was a member of the Belgium World Cup team, and Caicedo was a member of the Ecuador World Cup team.
