Villarreal’s young striker, Nicolas Jackson, is on the verge of completing his move to Chelsea, as reported by Spanish outlet Diario AS.
According to the Spanish publication, the 21-year-old forward has already agreed to personal terms with Chelsea. He is expected to travel to London this week for a medical examination before signing a five-year contract, with an option for an additional year.
As per the report, Chelsea will be paying Villarreal a transfer fee of €35 million (£30 million) for Jackson’s services.
Well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Chelsea has chosen to activate the release clause for the Villarreal striker. The club is prepared to make payments in installments totaling €35 million (£30 million) for the 21-year-old.
Furthermore, The Guardian has reported that the Senegalese international has already reached an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea.
Jackson’s impressive performance in La Liga this season, where he made 26 appearances and contributed to 16 goals (12 goals and four assists), has caught the attention of Chelsea.
