“€50m ready” – Transfer dance starts, Manchester United very well placed to secure deal but timing could be issue

Bayern Munich could be a strong contender against Manchester United in the pursuit of Atalanta’s emerging talent, Rasmus Højlund. According to Tutto Atalanta, the German giants are prepared to offer €50m for the striker’s signature and are already anticipating potential interest from Manchester United, who are also reportedly in the market for a forward.

Manchester United is among several clubs in Europe involved in the race to sign Højlund, and Bayern Munich is well aware of their competition. The German team is looking to gain an advantage over their competitors by offering the transfer fee early, before the summer.

However, Atalanta is not easily intimidated at this point in time. They have ambitious goals and aim to qualify for Europe, possibly even the Champions League, with Højlund in their team. They also plan to resist offers from Manchester United and Bayern Munich and keep the player for another season before selling him next year for around €80m.

It remains to be seen if Atalanta can withstand the pressure from the big clubs showing serious interest in their star. The €50m figure is an attractive offer that is hard to resist, despite the belief that there could be more on offer in the future.

Furthermore, Højlund’s own aspirations must be taken into account. The player has openly expressed his admiration for Manchester United, and if they express a serious interest in him, it is unlikely that he would turn down the opportunity, even if Atalanta wants to keep him for another year.
