Erik ten Hag confident of signing £60m super star ahead of Arsenal & Liverpool

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is confident that he can convince Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount to join the team before Arsenal or Liverpool.

The international for England will begin the final year of his Blues contract in July, and he has no plans to extend his affiliation with the London team.

He will therefore likely be moved during the forthcoming transfer window, and Ten Hag is sure that he can entice him to Old Trafford.

Although Mount has not yet chosen a team, it is said that the Red Devils management is attempting to sign him before the Gunners and Reds.

Ten Hag is on the hunt for a vivacious center midfielder, and Mount is the front-runner right now.

Mount would be a great investment.

The 24-year-old has been among the top players for the team ever since making his Chelsea debut four years ago.

Despite having a dismal 2022–23 season in which he managed just nine goals in 35 games, he continues to draw high-profile transfer interest.

Although Ten Hag is desperate to lure him away with the promise of consistent playing time in midfield, both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing him.

Although Mount has mostly played at position ten, he has occasionally subbed at eight. He might hold that job for United in the long run.

In attacking midfield, Bruno Fernandes is the clear starter for the team, and Ten Hag is unlikely to substitute Mount for him.

United could try to negotiate a fee of £40 million with Chelsea, who wants £60 million for their graduate. It would be a great business decision.
