Everybody is laughing at him – Gallas slams £189,904-per-week Man United star

William Gallas, a former player for Arsenal and Chelsea, has claimed that Harry Maguire would never be successful at Manchester United.

He also criticized Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, for selecting the 29-year-old for the World Cup team.

Maguire was selected for England’s 26-man squad despite losing his spot in Manchester United’s starting lineup.

Gallas questioned the inclusion of Maguire over AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori in the team.

Gallas said to Genting Casino, “Manchester United have provided so many chances, but he doesn’t have the quality.”

“When he plays, everyone laughs at him; why did Gareth Southgate choose him?

“Maguire hasn’t done well. Why is he being called up for a major event like the World Cup if he isn’t performing well?

Maguire played for the Sheffield United youth team before making 186 appearances for the senior squad in 2011.

He was named to the PFA Team of the Year for League One three times in a row, and he also won their Player of the Year award three times in a row.

Maguire began dating Hull Cuty. for £2.5 million in 2014, and in 2015, it was loaned to Wigan Athletic.

The England international subsequently signed with Leicester City in 2017 for an initial fee of £12 million, and two years later, he joined Manchester United for a fee of roughly £80 million, which set a record for a defender.
