Fabrizio Romano breaks Chelsea fans hearts with latest update on £250,000 per week star player which kills hope

Since February, we have essentially accepted the idea that Mason Mount will depart Chelsea. We had yelled at the board and been upset, but in the end, we had come to terms with it. It had ended.

However, since Mauricio Pochettino was chosen as the new manager, rumors have been circulating that he wants to keep Mount (and why wouldn’t he?). and was on the board to resume negotiations and reach an agreement.

That restored some of our lost faith and undone all of our efforts to keep our melancholy under control.

Fabrizio Romano has just said something, though, that seems to be the end of Mount’s Chelsea career.

Despite recent events, the Italian insider claims that Mount (who is valued at €65 million by TransferMarkt) is unlikely to sign a new contract:

On his AMP show, he claimed, “According to some sources today, extending Mason Mount is going to be very difficult, really complicated.”

There isn’t currently a deal on the table for Mount to sign, according to other influential persons with opinions on the matter like Alex Goldberg. He hasn’t received any new offers since negotiations broke down at the beginning of the year.

If that is the case, it is quite disheartening, and Pochettino will undoubtedly feel that his reign has not gotten off to a good start because a crucial player left the door as he entered.
