Following Chelsea’s proposal, Xavi wants Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to remain at Barcelona.

Following Chelsea’s interest this week, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been informed by Barcelona head coach Xavi that he is a part of his plans.

Chelsea has discussed the possibility of Aubameyang heading to Stamford Bridge before the end of the summer transfer season with members of his entourage.

Following Romelu Lukaku’s return to Inter in June, Thomas Tuchel is eager to add a new forward as Chelsea enters the new campaign with Timo Werner, Armando Broja, and Michy Batshuayi as their three primary strikers.

Barcelona, on the other hand, is willing to let go of some of its high earners since they want to reduce their salary costs in order to better their financial situation.

However, Aubameyang has been made aware by Xavi that he wants to be a part of the Barcelona team for the upcoming season, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Additionally, according to the source, Barcelona has not heard from Chelsea on the potential of acquiring Aubameyang.

When questioned about Chelsea’s interest in Aubameyang’s 79 goals, which he scored while the two were teammates at Borussia Dortmund, Tuchel responded, “I would be interested in the 79 goals actually.” We won’t add any further commentary.

“There are many names out there; sometimes that’s because we debate many names; sometimes that’s just pure speculation, and we won’t get involved.”

It’s believed that Aubameyang, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer in February after Arsenal decided to end his contract, also wants to stay at Camp Nou.

According to a source close to Aubameyang, the Frenchman is “extremely pleased at Barca and he’s not thinking about leaving.”
