Frank Lampard confirms £290,000 week star set to miss rest of season as Chelsea suffer further injury blow

N’Golo Kante is “pretty much” expected to miss the remainder of the season owing to a groin injury, according to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.Nigeria Information Guide

Due to hamstring injuries and subsequent fitness concerns, Kante, a French World Cup champion, has already missed two big periods of Chelsea’s disastrous season. He started both of the Blues’ most recent games, a 1-0 triumph over Bournemouth on Sunday and a 3-1 loss to Arsenal.

However, Kante, a two-time Premier League champion, is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering a groyne injury in training ahead of today’s home game against Nottingham Forest, according to interim manager Lampard.NSUC Portal

Lampard stated, “We lost N’Golo in training yesterday. There was a sensation in his groin. He will therefore be injured for two to three weeks.

We very well know what it entails, he continued. We must therefore continue.

Mateo Kovacic, Conor Gallagher, and record signing Enzo Fernandez will play in Chelsea’s midfield three against Nottingham Forest in place of Kante.

Despite spending more than £600 million on additions this season, Chelsea will almost certainly end the campaign in the bottom half of the Premier League standings.
