Graham Potter advises against going on a spending spree in January for two main reasons

Glen Johnson asserts that Graham Potter won’t need to make major purchases in January to strengthen Chelsea’s roster. Potter took over as Chelsea’s manager earlier this month when Thomas Tuchel resigned, and he presided over his first game last Wednesday.

This summer, Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling, and Marc Cucurella all signed on for significant transfer sums. Johnson thinks that by removing inattentive players from the Chelsea roster, Potter can avoid making a similar pricey investment in January.

Johnson expressed surprise at Tuchel’s dismissal after a successful tenure at Chelsea to Express Sport.

I was startled because he had so many new guys. Graham Potter was a choice that startled me.

“I like Potter, but getting players to play for Brighton is one thing; competing against the greatest players in the best competitions is quite another. They will advance if he can get Chelsea to play like Brighton.

They have a solid team, to be honest. He’ll probably concentrate on settling in and getting to know the players.

He doesn’t necessarily need to sign certain players, in my opinion, but he should find out who wants to play there and who doesn’t.

Johnson spoke with Express Sport while at an Anfield event hosted by Liverpool and SC Johnson to increase the local kids’ awareness of recycling and sustainability.

He remarked, “We’re teaching 200 youngsters about recycling, renewable energy, and protecting the environment. They can use what they’ve learned today to teach their parents and provide everyone a better future, says the teacher.
