Graham Potter has confirms Chelsea star that will miss Champions League clash against RB Salzburg
Kalidou Koulibaly won’t play for Chelsea in Tuesday night’s Champions League match against RB Salzburg, according to Graham Potter.

The Senegal defender, who completed a £33 million transfer from Napoli last summer, was injured on Saturday and was unable to play in the Premier League tie with Manchester United.

In the closing minutes of last week’s scoreless west London derby match against Brentford, Koulibaly sustained a knee injury. He may also be out the following Saturday when Chelsea go to Potter’s previous club Brighton.

Potter responded on Monday evening when asked for an update on his center-back: “It’s not too bad, but this game was too soon for him.” He should return on the grass on either Wednesday or Thursday, we hope.

Chelsea leads Group E going into their Champions League matchup against RB Salzburg on Tuesday with seven points after four games.

Under former manager Thomas Tuchel, the Blues suffered a humiliating loss to Dinamo Zagreb to start their European campaign, but they have rebounded brilliantly to draw at home with Salzburg and upset AC Milan twice.

Potter continued, “I’ve found the Champions League to be really hard, quite thrilling, and full of top-notch matches.”

“We’ve played three excellent matches.” We anticipate another challenging game tomorrow night and are eager to play.

“We haven’t completed the task or earned the points yet. We need more, and tomorrow we’ll give it our all.

The team appears to be highly cohesive, and Salzburg are an excellent team. We are anticipating a challenging contest and will have to match their intensity because we saw their caliber when they visited Stamford Bridge.
