Graham Potter is reportedly set to make a surprise player-plus-cash deal for Tottenham Star

In an effort to capture Harry Kane from Tottenham, new Chelsea manager Graham Potter is reportedly prepared to make a surprise player-plus-cash deal. Since the Blues’ striker options have been lacking recently, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was added on transfer deadline day as a temporary solution. However, the former Brighton manager may choose to take a different approach up front.

According to Calcio Mercato Web, Potter “truly likes” Kane and plans to try to lure him away from Tottenham at the end of the season by giving Antonio Conte the chance to work with Romelu Lukaku again, along with money from Chelsea. The Belgian’s perhaps best performance occurred under Conte, when the two led Inter Milan to the Serie A championship and led the Blues to spend £97.5 million on the striker.

According to the article, however, one obstacle that may ultimately prevent Chelsea from signing Kane is that they have already made plans for Lukaku to stay at Inter for a second season, albeit that choice will rely on how well the Nerazzurri do in the league.

Since joining the team again on loan from Chelsea, Lukaku has only made three appearances, although he is expected to rejoin Simone Inzaghi’s squad following the international break. Lukaku has only scored one goal in Italy.

Kane’s desire to switch London teams would be an additional consideration. He still has a little more than two years left on his current Spurs contract, and after failing to sign with Manchester City this summer, he has been linked to Bayern Munich. According to Sky Sports Germany, the German team has spoken with Kane’s agents about a potential summer transfer.

“According to journalist Florian Plettenburg, who spoke to Sky Sports News, “I am absolutely certain that Harry Kane will become a very, very hot topic at Bayern Munich for the next transfer window. “Depending on how well the strikers perform this season. The Bayern management has instructed them to wait and see. There’s [Sadio] Mane here. Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, and more are available.
