As the former coach prepares to leave, some of his staff are considering following suit. Below, we detail which staff members are leaving and which ones are staying.
Billy Reid Leaves with Potter Potter’s main assistant, Billy Reid, has opted to leave with his former boss. Reid’s departure comes as no surprise as he and Potter have worked together for several years.
Bjorn Hamberg and Kyle Macaulay Staying Put Assistant coach Bjorn Hamberg and Kyle Macaulay from the recruitment team have decided to remain with the club. With Reid’s departure, Hamberg’s role at Chelsea will likely expand. Meanwhile, Macaulay will continue his work with the recruitment team.
Bruno Saltor Named Interim Manager Bruno Saltor will step in as Chelsea’s interim manager in light of Potter’s departure. Saltor has been with the club since 2018 and is familiar with Chelsea’s coaching staff and players. It remains to be seen whether Saltor will be named the permanent manager.
