Guarantee me game time or I leave Chelsea – Chelsea star sends clear message to Pochettino

If Mauricio Pochettino does not offer Levi Colwill regular playing time, he is now prepared to force a transfer out of Chelsea.

After an outstanding loan stint during the 2022–23 season, Brighton made a £30 million offer for the 20-year-old.

According to an update from Fabrizio Romano, Brighton is prepared to send a revised bid worth £40 million after Chelsea rejected their initial proposal.

What has changed recently regarding Chelsea and Levi Colwill? Let’s look at this…

What’s the premise?

Colwill will push for a move away from Stamford Bridge, per talkSPORT, unless Pochettino guarantees him playing time.

The sixth-place result Brighton achieved last season helped them earn a spot in the UEFA Europa League, and the England Under-21 international is hungry to establish himself as a Premier League regular.

Pochettino obviously seems eager to work with Colwill; according to The Times, the Argentine even wants Chelsea to extend his contract because of what he has seen.

The assurance of consistent game times, though, might make someone else at Stamford Bridge unhappy.

Colwill fills in for Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Benoit Badiashile as a left-sided center-back.

Pochettino might therefore need to pass on one of the high-profile additions in order to satisfy Colwill.
