“He is a great striker” Chelsea set to complete deal for exciting striker seen as an alternative to Napoli star Victor Osimhen

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea is set to finalize the transfer of Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson, and they will be discussing the details of a £30 million deal.

The report mentions that Chelsea will engage in talks to determine the structure of the transfer fee, which is expected to be paid in instalments. Jackson, who has a release clause of £30 million, has attracted interest from other clubs such as Aston Villa and Bournemouth. However, he has his sights set on joining Chelsea, and personal terms have already been agreed upon. Before finalizing the deal, Chelsea will carefully assess Jackson’s medical condition, despite his return to fitness and impressive performance in the latter half of the season, where he scored nine goals.

It is worth noting that Jackson shares the same agent as Moises Caicedo from Brighton, who is Chelsea’s primary midfield target. Chelsea had a £60 million bid rejected for Caicedo, but negotiations are ongoing to reach a fee closer to £80 million.

The 21-year-old forward, who has made two appearances for Senegal, had a breakthrough season at Villarreal, scoring 13 goals. He finished the campaign in excellent form, finding the net nine times in his last eight games, contributing to Villarreal’s fifth-place finish in LaLiga.

Chelsea sees Jackson as an alternative option to Victor Osimhen from Napoli, as the Nigerian forward is expected to command a price tag exceeding £100 million and is linked with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
