“He is not going anywhere” Graham Potter insists Chelsea star won’t leave the club this January
Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, has reiterated that Christian Pulisic won’t quit the team this month and that he had no intention of doing so before the American star had an injury.
The knee injury Pulisic sustained in Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City on January 5 will sideline him for two months. Prior to getting hurt, he started three straight games after the World Cup after finding it difficult to acquire playing time early in the season.
Potter asserted on Friday that there was “no chance” that Pulisic would depart.
He’s been around for a few months, but there was never any thought given to anything related to that.
He’s disappointed, but he’s certain that he can return sooner than two months, so he’s in the stage where he’s just trying to cross his fingers that his rehabilitation goes well.
The 24-year-old had been linked to transfers to Newcastle and Manchester United.
