“He is not ready now” – Fofana not solution to Chelsea’s woes – Glenn Hoddle
Former Chelsea player Glenn Hoddle has advised the team that one of their most recent additions, David Datro Fofana, isn’t yet ready to play.
He said that the French attacker is not the solution to the Blues’ offensive issues following Friday night’s scoreless stalemate with Fulham.
Fofana was transferred from Molde to the Blues during the January transfer window for £8 million.
The 20-year-old played in his first match for the Blues in a scoreless draw between Chelsea and Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
In their last six games in all competitions, Graham Potter’s team has only managed to score two goals.
During a Premier League Productions review of a football game, Hoddle was asked if Fofana would fix Chelsea’s attacking problems. Hoddle replied, “No, he’s not the answer.
He isn’t ready yet. He wouldn’t be the answer even if he played fantastically and scored two goals.
