He is On his way to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea board ‘AGREE’ another deal with winger
Diego Moreira, a winger for Benfica, will reportedly join the club for free this summer after the Blues and the Portuguese club reached an agreement.
Ted Boehly is still interested in adding players, despite Chelsea’s continued pursuit of European football for the upcoming campaign and their ongoing search for their next manager.
The owner of the Blues is bringing in names who many would argue are not necessary to his team, but he has a long-term strategy that involves some of the top players in the league, and now it appears like Moreira is on his way to the club.
Moreira earned his Benfica senior debut last year, but hasn’t played for the first squad this year despite being a regular for the B team.
The 18-year-old has decided not to renew his contract with the Portuguese team, which expires at the end of the current campaign. And according to Record, once Moreira’s deal with Benfica expires, Chelsea will have swooped in and will have signed him.
Additionally, it has been stated that Chelsea outbid other teams like AC Milan to sign the young player.
