“He is really annoying me” – Michail Antonio says he is getting so frustrated with £375,000 per week Man U player

Michail Antonio of West Ham United has expressed his frustration with Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea on the Footballer’s Football Podcast.

The Hammers lost 1-0 on Sunday night at Old Trafford, and they’re still not sure how they managed to walk away empty-handed.

Although De Gea put up an outstanding performance in goal, Marcus Rashford’s strike ultimately proved to be the difference between the teams.

Near the end of the game, the £19 million player made some impressive stops to thwart Kurt Zouma, Declan Rice, and Antonio himself.

The West Ham striker has now acknowledged that it is difficult to compete against the Spanish goalie.

Antonio remarked about playing against De Gea throughout the years and specifically mentioned his performance in his reflections on Sunday’s defeat.

“Argh, De Gea. It makes me so angry. He told the Footballer’s Football Podcast that some of the saves he’s been making are incredible.

“He has treated us like way for the past three years that we have traveled there. He has given us numerous opportunities, but he has only just chosen to attend our games. This man was incredible.

They had strong defensive play. Despite all the criticism, Harry Maguire performed admirably. [Lisandro] Martinez was excellent and a rock.

At the back stick, [Diogo] Dalot knocked three balls off my head.

“De Gea has pulled some worldies on me playing against him over the past few years.

“I believe it was in lockdown, and I had three chances against him, one a backstick header that I got out thanks to an incredible save. He finger-tipped the shot over the bar with his left foot from the edge of the box, just inside the top bins.

“Next one was five yards out, and I struck him just to the left of him, but he still got something on it!

He has done this to me in a few games, and I won’t lie, he really irritates me.

The performance on Sunday demonstrates why De Gea is considered as one of, if not the finest, shot stoppers in the history of football.

Near the end of the game, they were under tremendous pressure, but the Spaniard delivered when it mattered most for his team.
