Hakim Ziyech, a star for Chelsea, has been ordered by former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur player Rafael van der Vaart to quit Stamford Bridge.

He said that the Moroccan’s career would be revived as a result.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2020 in a £33 million deal from Ajax, Ziyech has generally underperformed.

In 48 appearances in the Premier League, he has only six goals to his name and has only started one of Chelsea’s eight games this year.

Van van Vaart believed Ziyech’s cameo during the closing ten minutes of Chelsea’s 1-1 tie with Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night was evidence that the winger is unsatisfied.

“Of course, he never really has a smiley face, but now you can see from everything that he is not having a good time,” the former midfielder for the Netherlands, Ajax, Tottenham, and Real Madrid told Ziggo Sport.

“I hope he joins a club where he can focus solely on playing, free from other obligations. When you receive Ziyech, he is a boy who is constantly in the mood to play.

“When you buy players, you don’t just buy them for their football skills; you also buy them for who they are as people.

Then you may claim that Chelsea has a ton of talented players, but players like him don’t enjoy waiting around.
