HERE WE GO: Medical passed. Announcement to be made soon

According to Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sports Germany, Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana has successfully undergone a medical examination in preparation for his loan move to German club Union Berlin.

The 20-year-old striker, who joined Chelsea from Molde in January, will join Union Berlin on loan without an option to buy. Given his limited playing time at Chelsea since his transfer from Molde, a loan move is seen as necessary for Fofana to gain regular game time.

Meanwhile, according to the Athletic, Chelsea has turned down a bid from Italian club Inter Milan for striker Romelu Lukaku.

The report states that Chelsea rejected Inter Milan’s latest offer and is seeking a fee of around €45 million (£38.5 million, $49.4 million) for Lukaku. Juventus and Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal have also shown interest in Lukaku, but Inter Milan is still the striker’s preferred destination.

However, Inter Milan is currently far from meeting Chelsea’s desired fee of €45 million. This amount falls significantly short of the £97.5 million that Chelsea received when they sold Lukaku to Inter Milan in the summer of 2021.
