William Gallas, a former defender for Chelsea and Arsenal, has named Karim Benzema of Real Madrid as the best player in the world right now.
As he wished Benzema a swift recovery from his injury, Gallas praised him as a wonderful player.
Due to his outstanding performances for Real Madrid last season, Benzema has been predicted to win the 2022 Ballon d’Or.
He played with the Los Blancos in 46 games across all competitions, scoring 44 goals and dishing out 15 assists.
In addition to winning the UEFA Champions League trophy, La Liga, the Supercopa de Espana, and the UEFA Super Cup over the preceding 12 months, Benzema also assisted France in winning the UEFA Nations League final the previous year.
“It’s different because he’s having pain from the injuries. If you are injured, you cannot be the best player in the world. That is the issue he is currently facing. He must return and be in good shape. When asked if he still thought Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante was the best player in the world, Gallas responded, “I hope he can come back soon. We all know how difficult it can be to come back from injury and be on top form.
However, he isn’t now the best player in the world. Karim Benzema, in my opinion, has demonstrated to everyone that he is the best player.
He said, “How can Karim Benzema not be the best player after the season he had for Real Madrid? He amassed the most goals in La Liga and the Champions League with Real Madrid. Give me only one name since he was so amazing. Karim, though, stood out as the player for me.
Due to a muscle ailment, Benzema, 34, is currently sidelined.
Early October is when the France international is expected to resume playing.
