Alan Shearer, a former player for Newcastle United, called Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus a “game-changer.”
This came after Arsenal defeated Brentford 3-0 on Sunday to retake first place in the Premier League.
Jesus scored goals for the Gunners in the Premier League after signing with Arsenal for almost £50 million in the summer.
The Brazilian international has received recognition for his hold-up play, mobility, and goals and assists as well.
“Jesus is Arsenal’s true game-changer for me,” Shearer said to BBC Sport.
“His move was considered as his chance to take the lead after frequently sitting on the bench at City, and he has taken it so far without a doubt.
“Jesus is already a significant component of what Arsenal stand for today.
“He is Arsenal’s game-changer. He is the one who commands attention by speaking first. Players that are willing to run in from behind are hated by defenders, and he does that.
