“His A great player” Thiago Silva voted Chelsea’s Player of the Season
Thiago Silva, a defender for Chelsea, has been chosen by Chelsea fans as their team’s player of the year.
A fan election conducted online determines the recipient of Chelsea’s Player of the Season award, and 61 percent of Chelsea supporters chose the Brazilian center-back.
Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga placed third, followed by Enzo Fernandez, a January signing from Benfica.
After finishing second behind Mason Mount in the season-ending ballot the previous year, Thiago Silva has been named Chelsea’s Player of the Season for the 2022–23 campaign.
Thiago Silva maintained his cool and class throughout the entire season, demonstrating why he is one of the best defenders of his generation and has spent the last three seasons as one of the first names on the Blues squad sheet.
The numbers support his value as our defensive lynchpin, with his 33 interceptions, 106 clearances, 112 individual duels won, and 28 shots blocked in the Premier League so far this season ranking as the highest totals for any Chelsea player. His 1,968 passes that were successfully completed and his passing accuracy of 91.3% also make him a crucial player on the ball as we attempted to play out from the back.
