“His going to do well there” – McAvennie reveals Chelsea £150,000-a-week star next club
Mateo Kovacic, a star for Chelsea, is reportedly moving to Manchester United this summer, according to former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie.
Additionally, he thinks that the Croatian international would be the ideal addition to Erik ten Hag’s Red Devils.
The 29-year-old World Cup semifinalist is rumored to depart Stamford Bridge this summer as the Blues attempt to trim down their team, which now includes over 30 players.
The Croatian’s current contract expires in just 14 months, and Chelsea wants to sell him quickly to balance their books.
According to Football Insider, Manchester United is eager to take advantage of the Croatian’s circumstances at his present club.
When asked if Chelsea would be open to letting one of their Premier League rivals sign a star player, McAvennie responded in the affirmative.
You must reduce the number of players to 25. Chelsea needs to resolve it as quickly as possible. But I can see it. Manchester United will receive Kovacic. He is a good player, and I believe he would succeed there, the man added.
